Verandas by the Sea #902 Big Blue Atlantic Views

Nice Cottage
This is a very nice unit in a great location. It was clean with plenty of room. The listing matched the description and it was decorated nicely along with being clean and in impeccably condition. There were a few things that were quite annoying. 1) The TV’s didn’t work and said “no signal.” We also never found the remote control in the master bedroom, so the TV’s never went on. Not the end of the world, I didn’t take the time to report it because we weren’t going to watch them much, but it happened. 2) You get a tiny bar of soap to wash hands and for the shower- anything beyond that you have to buy. There was no dish soap provided if you’re going to hand wash any dishes so that’s something else you have to buy. One garbage bag is provided but once you fill it, you’ll find yourself at the store buying a whole pack. Providing garbage bags, tiny soaps, and toilet paper would have been nice. We have stayed in many private rentals run by 3rd parties and these small items have been provided for convenience. Again, not the end of the world but pretty inconvenient. 3) There are two bathrooms with the loudest fans and the brightest lights that go on at the same time. The extremely bright wattage for the lightbulbs can be seen from space and the fans can be heard from there as well. There was no other way to see and was jarring to turn on. If anyone used the bathroom in the middle of the night, it woke up everyone. Having night lights in those bathrooms is ESSENTIAL but they were not provided, which was another expense we didn’t plan on. 3) The shower liner is the cheapest quality- it is super lightweight and blows in while the fan is on and you’re taking a shower. Be prepared for that to constantly stick to you. Overall, the unit is nice and clean with a beautiful view!

Just Fantastic!
This condo is so cute and it has everything you need. From the fully stocked kitchen, washer and dry, great hot tub and a view that will amaze you.

We did not get our moneys worth.
It took us four hours to learn how to turn the TV on. Both exhaust fans in the bathrooms noisy and were very annoying. The lighting was poor so we were not able to read after dark. There was only one clock in the apartment and it did not work.

Beautiful View, Convenient Location
This unit was very clean and decorated exactly how you would expect a beach property to look (light and cozy). I loved the blonde wood-like ceramic floors; perfect for keeping sand at bay. Everything we needed for the week was provided within Covid regulations (ex: get your own salt & pepper and dish liquid if your cooking in). The unit says it sleeps 6 but there were enough beds to sleep 8. The view was fantastic from the 9th floor but unfortunately the adjacent hotel blocks the view of the sunrise from the balcony. The property was very well-maintained and the pools were not overly crowded nor was the parking garage. The location was great being very close to Main Street and the Hwy 17 bypass! The management company was friendly, informative and very easy to work with! I’m so happy I found this gem at a very reasonable price and I would love to stay in this unit with my family again. I would definitely recommend it to others as well!

... really had a great time ... but there is NO (!) and I repeat NO excuse for the noise level of BOTH bathroom fans ... i have been an electrician for almost 40 years and a bathroom fan is an easy install ... the noise level of BOTH fans takes a LOT away from the atmosphere of the condo .... the owner should be ashamed ...

Great Location!
My husband I had a very nice stay at this condo. The location was perfect, the place was well-stocked, clean and quiet. It’s great for 2 people! A few negatives are the 2 bathroom fans were very loud! The one closet lacked hangers and bedroom looks bigger than it is. It would be great if more hooks were put in the front hallway for coats/jackets! The picture shows a recliner, but we found replaced by new sofa/chair which are very comfortable. The tvs were tricky to use. Had to call maintenance for help. Also they came to install drainage stopper in main bathroom that was put in vanity drawer. Overall, we were quite happy with our stay that is very convenient to restaurants, stores and shops. Thank you to all for making our stay enjoyable.

Thank you so much Lucia for your review of our Verandas by the Sea #902 property! We are so happy to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us! I am terribly sorry for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. I would like to address them here so as to clear any confusion. The living room pictures do need to be updated, however our peak season kicked off almost immediately this year and we were having a hard time finding a day that the rental was closed ~and~ that the photographer was free. I apologize for the trickiness of the TV's, I will put it in the works to figure out step-by-step of the process that way we can include it in the binder. The lack of hangers is a bit troubling, we will work to add more for the guests. When it comes to the fans being loud, I believe we may have sent maintenance over to see if the noise could be helped, and we came to a dead end. I will follow up with maintenance to make 100% sure. Thank you for letting us know! Reviews are what we use most to help refine ourselves! Reviews like yours help us to better understand what and where we need to improve, as well as letting us know what we need to inform the owner of, for possible renovations. We couldn't do this without you!

The condo was very clean only complaint was the fans in bathrooms were terrible-loud and no way to control -we did have an issue with the tv but it was taken care of in a timely manner

Very Clean! Manager was friendly and helpful! The couch needs to be replaced. We loved the new TV stand with the games and books. The view is great with beautiful sunrises. We will be coming back again!!

Perfect couples getaway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Verandas, the perfect size for the two of us!
Nicely decorated and clean. It was nice to have the extra half bath so we each had our own space! We spent most of our evening enjoying the balcony and the beautiful view of the moon rising!

Wonderful vacation

Nice weekend trip
My husband and I have stayed at the Verandas several times. This was the first time using VRBO, and we were extremely happy with our choice. The condo was clean and comfortable. As always, we enjoyed the amazing views and of course the hot tub!

Cleanest VRBO yet
Excellent experience in a wonderful property. Location in North Myrtle Beach was perfect! Short drive to Rt 17 and many activities and restaurants and only a few blocks to Main Street. Property owner even supplied 2 chairs and an umbrella set up daily on the beautiful wide beach. Only complaint was an elevator issue (1 of 2 was out of service for the entire stay). This was no fault of the owner and only affected things on a Saturday when multiple guests were leaving or arriving. This was the building HOA’s responsibility, not the owner.

The owner has worked hard to offer their guest the perfect romantic and cozy beach getaway. The beach services are just the cherry on top!! We apologize about the elevators and the owner did keep us updated at regular intervals about the repair process but it just seemed to take longer than the engineers original estimate. Best Vacation Ever!
What a great vacation spot! The condo was very clean, the beds were comfortable (even the murphy bed) and the views were perfect. My 80 year old dad, 14 year old niece and middle-age self enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already planning next year's visit!
The only negative I can offer is that the sheets left for the murphy bed/sofa bed were the wrong size. We used flat sheets and made it work and I'm sure the office would have helped us with new ones if we'd asked. The condo is a bit pricy, but with all the amenities, comfort and cleanliness, it's totally worth it! We will be back!

We do apologize for the sheets not fitting -- we receive our weekly sheet sets pre-packaged, in shrink wrap, directly from the linen factory, so you probably discovered something that we needed to be aware of. The owner will be thoroughly pleased that you enjoyed all of the comforts that she has thoughtfully put into this great one bedroom condo. We realize that you have many great choices out there when making your beach plans and we are proud to be the final destination that put your vacation over the top!!! Exactly as advertised
From check in to check out this was a wonderful experience. The condo was super clean, everything was in top notch working condition. The beds were fantastic. Walk to beach was easy. The lazy river is not very big but was ok for two adults. Pools was clean. Parking was easy. Walking distance to downtown but far enough away to still be quite. Also the rental of the beach chairs and umbrella provided by the owner was icing on the cake. Did not need to lug anything down to beach but our towels and drinks. I would highly recommend.

Unit was clean and area perfect for what we were looking for. Staff at ODVR was very helpful and pleasant in all interactions. Would definitely recommend them and use them again. Will also be sure to use them again if we return to area!!

The Verandas is a unique and boutique-size complex, so the pool, parking and elevators are not too crowded. The location puts you just five blocks to downtown, Main Street, here in North Myrtle Beach, to enjoy everything from dining, shopping, live music, local hot spots, and kids amusements.
