Sea Grass House Charming Beach Retreat

From the moment we walked into this house we had issues. The floors was so dirty that within 5 minutes the bottom of our feet was dirty. We spent our first 2 days trying to get the different issues fixed. The TV in the room where the washer/dryer is (also has a bed) doesn’t work and they couldn’t get it to work. The pool lights didn’t get fixed till 2 days before we left. The window lock for one of the bedrooms was on the outside instead of the inside. We had shower issues in 2 of the bathrooms. This house needs to have some money out into it to make it safer. The floors has a lot of soft spots and we wondered if we would fall through some of the boards. The floor going into the bathroom from the first floor bathroom has a spot about 2 x 4 area that is ready to fall through and if you don’t watch how you walk over it you could get splinters. Downstairs there is no couches to sit on. Just 2 kitchen tables. The description of the house doesn’t tell you that the living room is on the second floor. This was a problem as we had a person who has knee issues and made it difficult for her to climb the stairs.
The management company was very responsive to our issues and took care of what they could. But a lot of the issues falls back on the owner of this property. When we complained about the dirty floors the cleaning crew was sent back to the house and swept and mopped all of the house.
The trash was a little confusing. It seems like once your trash is picked up that you can’t put anymore in your dumpster and are required to take it to a public dumpster. This didn’t seem right that we had to find the dumpster on other streets to take our bags. Also the big binder seemed a little much. It was like having to read a novel. I rent rentals multiple times a year and have never had so many instructions before.

Not what we expected

Property was not good for families with young children. We had 14 people (6 adults) for a family reunion. The sinks clogged frequently, the dryer broke and was not fixed and looked way too small for the house size to begin with. The property managers tried their best giving new towels every few days but with children we really needed a washer and dryer. The pool was great and it is a very short walk to the beach. The dining table in the kitchen was an outdoor table with outdoor patio chairs, the place could use an upgrade on furniture. I would not recommend this place for a family vacation. I would recommend the property management company and will work with them to find a place for next year.

Vacation 2024
The home was nice, it was in a great location. All the bedrooms with the exception of the king room to the left as you enter the home were nice. I did not feel that the home was very clean. I understand there are people in and out on a regular basis, but I felt it could have been cleaner. There were no bathmats in the one bathroom, limited hooks and bars for towels. We loved the pool at the home.

Thank you for the review and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations. We would have gladly brought you more bathmats, as they are part of the linen package included with your reservation. You sent an email 3 days after arrival mentioning the home is "not clean" and we did request details so that we could follow up and everything for you, but NO response was given. Even now with this review, you mentioned NO details about what the cleaning issues were. Please offer some specifics why the King bedroom was not appealing, too, so that we may share with the owner. We will also notify the owner of your suggestion for more places to hang towels. We appreciate all critiques and criticisms to make our properties better and our guests experience more satisfying.

Full Week at North Myrtle Beach.
We spent 7 days Confortably in the sea grass house.we had 12 people in 8 rooms and everyone had a comfy bed to sleep in. The pool was a great addition for those days we didn't feel like walking the short distance to the beach.the surrounding area was quiet and had everything we needed; from an ice cream shop to the little store next to it and the beach store not too far from there. The grill was handy and plentiful for the whole family. I stayed with my family, my brother and his family with plenty of room at the dinner tables. There was also plenty of entertainment for when we were just lounging aroind from a tv in every room to two tvs in each living room respectively.Overall it was a great experience and the perfect house for our getaway, definitely would recommend and rent again.

Great week at Sea Grass House
The house was very clean, well stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils. The pool was great and the location was excellent with the beach just a quick walk. We’ll definitely stay again!

Great vacation home
This house was perfect for our family trip. It was close to the ocean, nice location, close to shopping and activities.we really only had one issue, this dishwasher was broken but that was minor for us. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Sea grass house
The home was very spacious. The pool was fantastic! The location was perfect, 2 blocks from our favorite Irish pub, Molly Darcy’s. The beds were not the best. They were old and every single one extremely squeaky! You could not roll over or get out of bed without making a lot of noise! The bathrooms had the hard plastic shower liners that gave you a feeling of being unsanitary. I would had preferred clothe ones, where everyone was washed for next people coming in. The bedspreads on the beds needed to be updated, to give a fresher feel to the rooms. But, over it was a great rental

Great family vacation
Our week at Sea Grass was GREAT! The check in and out process is extremely efficient. This is the second year we rented this house. We choose it for the number of bedrooms, in ground pool and location to the beach!!
Some furniture could use replaced such as the upstairs sun room chairs. The new table in the kitchen was perfect for our family. However the chairs were so uncomfortable . The beds are comfortable.
The house could use a good deep cleaning. Let’s just say I left it much cleaner than I found it. We did not use the back yard much. It was extremely buggy outback. Overall good experience.

Beach vacation
This house was great. There was plenty of space for our family. The pool was awesome. We played in it everyday. Only a few steps to the beach. Shopping and restaurants close by. A great week. I would definitely stay here again.

Pool is not as bad as others as...
The overall stay was nice. We are a large extended family with lots of kids.

Positives: The pool - I thought the pool was the perfect size. It is on the smaller side. We had 6 little kids and up to 3 adults in the pool at a time and were fine. A company came out half way through the week to clean it. No pool complaints. Has new pool side furniture

Location - perfect location to the beach and ice cream places

Large eating area

Negatives No real family area - we had several small kids and didnt want them sleeping downstairs with door access. The couch and seating area is on the second floor.

The house was clean...mainly... the bathrooms and linens were clean. But the house was dusty - chandeliers, baseboards, under beds, air vents.

summer fun
We had a good time but we were really disappointed between the pictures of the house with what we got. The pool is very small. the furniture in the house was very dirty. We had cockroaches/woodroaches or Water bugs that look like Roaches everywhere. We told them about it but noone called us back.

Great Cresent Beach family vacation
The house floor plan is wonderful for a big family. Plenty of kitchen dishes and appliances all worked well. It is in need of repairs to master bedroom floor as well as kitchen floor. Some areas could use fresh paint. The location was great! Close to the beach , easy walking!
Back yard is a mess! Rickety old fenced area needs torn down and cleaned up. No grass in backyard but could be landscaped to increase appeal. Grill and smoker was a bonus to be able to be used. Pool was very small but very nice ! We weren’t all in a one time anyway! We cleaned upon arrival as it was not left as clean as expected. Floors were dirty , doors were dirty.. we sanitized everything and left it better than we found it, for sure... All in all nice house !

Thank you for taking the time to provide details regarding your stay. We appreciate all comments and even criticisms that will help us do better in deficient areas. Guests are always provided phone numbers at check-in to advise our housekeeping and maintenance departments if issues arise upon arrival and we will gladly take care of overlooked details. The private pool is considered a plunge pool and great for just that, after a hot day on the beach. This is an older, traditional beach house that is well kept every season. The owner will see your suggestions for paint and grass but the perimeter fences are all adjoining with neighbors and would require multiple permissions to address. Thank you again for being our guests and we hope you will return.

Great home for our family
We had a great time at the Sea Grass house! It was a great setup or our family of 15. The pool was small but very nice. Check in and Check out was simple and quick. If I had any recommendations it would be nice to have a nice grill large enough to accommodate guest size of the house- we didn't use the back patio much since not grilling and the back yard was pretty much just dirt.
Location is great and the company worked well with a rental company for golf carts and equipment for a baby! Beautiful area!

This place was great for me and my group, the staff was friendly and very helpful, the AC unit was working properly and they didn’t hesitate to send a professional out within 20min to come fix the problem. It is a true beach beauty that offers families and groups room to enjoy time together, whether relaxing poolside or beachside during the day, then cooking out or movie night together in the evenings. The public beach access is just two blocks away with bathrooms and showers. Within the immediate area there is something to entertain everyone -- an ice cream and hot dog shop on the corner, a giant tacky beach shop for those fun souvenir searches and a laid back beach side cafe for lunch or happy hour by the sea. The location of this house was very convenient to the beach. The onsite pool was convenient and in the sun for the entire afternoon. The upstairs gathering area was spacious, and the front porch and back deck allowed everyone to spread out.

Wonder week
An awesome house. We stayed for a week and it was awesome. The house looks a lot better in person. Very short walk to the beach made the stay even better. Very quit neighborhood. The kitchen sink fosset screw fell out the same day we got there and the Maintance team came right over. Awesome house, Maintance staff and property management.

It is located only 2 short blocks to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. An ice cream and Burger shop on the next corner, a beach store, and Molly Darcy's Irish Pub all within walking distance. This owner takes great pride in his property. In 2016 he totally remodeled from the walls in and out! New siding, new drywall, flooring, furniture, kitchen, bath rooms, everything is BRAND NEW!!! And a private pool was added! There is so much to this charming beach house Sea Grass that you can't have anything but an AWESOME week.
